Papa needs a haircut & a kiss...

This past weekend while we were at the double JJ, my dad came and stayed with the BOYZ for the weekend, it keeps him busy. He needed a haircut and then the girls wanted to help, and they did. So at the end they wanted to give him a kiss. Emma said, now papa, you got a haircut and a kiss. He tears up everytime he sees them. Over the last 5 months he has spent more time with them then he has me the last 10 years. He wouldn't change it for anything. They are his life. We got home Sunday and he power cleaned my house (which is usually 99% clean). He also power cleaned my salon and it really needed it, thank you dad!

our weekend @ double JJ ranch

This past weekend we went away to the double JJ ranch in Rothbury with Dave, Rachelle & Sam. Sam had his implant turned on last week, so this was his reward, so he took the girls with him, and we made a weekend of it. It was great, but COLD. The facilities itself was amazing. We stayed at the new thoroughbreed suites, which is next door to the waterpark. We had 2 fireplaces, 2 plasma TV's, a heated garage and a full kitchen (thank you rachelle for the cooking.) We had a walkway to the main restaurant area, and we only had to walk outside about 50 feet to get to the waterpark. There is so much to do....snow tubing, sleigh rides, dog sled rides, horse ranch, petting farm, it was just a litttle to cold for all that. The water park is nice with a wave pool attached to the lazy river that the kids loved, but there is not a lot for the little kids to do. The kids slides were enclosed and a little to fast for the girls, and not as big as a fort like Great Wolf Lodge. They had an "o" shapped hot tub that half was inside and half was outside, so the girls thought that was cool. Overall, it was a great weekend and believe it or not, very relaxing. We got a lot of sleep, some adult beverages, awesome conversation, whipped around on a few water slides, and great food, not to bad for a weekend.

FIRST snow man....

We have had a lot of snow, but not good packing snowman snow. A few weeks ago, Cory and the girls (yes w/o me) made there first ever officially dressed snowman. I was a little bummed I didn't get to do it with them, but when I got home they were so excited to show it to me, so I got excited for them. A few years ago KC got us a snowman kit (really cool, buttons and all) and we never really got around to actually putting the whole outfit on the snowman until this time, it turned out great and they were so proud.

What does that say?

There is just something about the first time you see your child right their name.... I look at Cory and say OK, they are getting to big, time for another child, I miss babies! He says, "nope, I don't think so." I try... it just never works. Emma has been scribbling on paper and writing a

lot of E, M & A, but never put it together until a few weeks ago in the bath tub, there it was, clear as day, EMMA! Thank you for bath tub crayons, I tell you. I was so excited, I had to grab the camera, now we are working on ROSE to make it complete. Grace has hers started, but not quite perfected yet. I admit she has a harder name then her sister, but she is trying.

Now thats what I call.... a fish!!!!

My husband seems to have a hobby of fishing that has gone to a new level, thanks to my good friend Dave. Dave loves to Walleye fish, well... Cory fishes with his dad every now and then but he also fishes at the cottage. Dave fishes whenever, where ever. 12 o'clock noon or 12 o'clock midnight, so Cory went with him once a few months back, and now he seems to be repeating it quite frequently. This is what him and Dave caught last night. It is a 10 lb. Walleye. Cory came home and was so excited, so I said to him "who caught it?" He said well... it was on Daves side of the boat, but I reeled it in, so it was a "team effort." Guys and teams, how does that work? So it was the biggest walleye ever caught on Daves boat, so he is having it mounted for his office. The next big one caught Cory gets to keep.

through 4 eyes....

For Christmas the girls got the fisher price "childs" digital camera. It has a flash, a delete mode ( just like my camera), a view mode, and it holds baout 75 pictures. When you look at them on the screen it is hard to see, so we downloaded them onto our program ( with there own photography file) and much to our surprise they turned out pretty good. They are a little fuzzy, but it is amazing what they think of through their eyes. Taking pictures of us, their bears, eachother and lots of unique things. Gracies new saying is "everybody get together, I want a picture." I know I am starting her young. I love it! Thank you Papa & Nana for the cameras they love them. We will keep you posted, we might even make them a seperate BLOG for their photos.

more + more = creative

So I have been doing some more collages and the more I play with the program, the better I get. This was a 8x10 collage, with some shaped text and color shadowing behind it with a color match to the ladies vest. This is a picture of our dear friend Cindy and her son, Cody. Cody was the miniature groom in our wedding, and Cindy was out mistress of ceremonies. At the time he was just past my waist, now I have to reach up to him to give him a hug, wow.... how times change.
