Where do the kids sit???

We had our builder and his family over for dinner Fri. and then we invited the neighbors too. We had a cook-out and fellowship on a beautiful night under the stars, while the kids could run around and play. To bad it wasn't a day later when the swingset was done, oohh well! Dinner time came around and there was no place for the kids to sit. That was something to think about and was definitely nerve-wracking. I have lots of kids chairs, but no table. Everytime we would take a bite/drink the kids (mine especially) wanted one thing or another...... Thats it, I had it, so I went out the next day and bought a table for the deck that sits 6 kids, plenty of room, so when we eat they can eat too. It even has an umbrella like mom and dads table. This is definitely an answer to my cook-out stress.

The 9 hour project!

Daddy & Papa spent a lot of the weekend putting the girls new toy together, the Swingset. It was a lot of work, but something Papa has been looking forward to for a long time. He loves to build things so it was perfect for him. Thank you Daddy & Papa for spending your weekend doing this for the girls. Well Sun. morning bright and early they were out on the deck heading for the swingset in their pajamas. Mom had to go to church (dad & the girls go on Thurs. now while I work) so dad got up, got them ready and sent them to "Swingsetville!" When I got home from church, sure enough they were out playing on it already. We just have a few last minute landscape touches and it will be a done deal. Well worth the wait.

Time with my dad!

There are just those moments when I say where is my camera when I need it? Well this time I forgot it. I used my mother-in-laws for these pictures. Then I edited them on my program to make them to my liking. "Yes, I am picky!" She was buggin' (our word for cuddle time) with her dad... of course I needed a camera, I didn't care if it wasn't mine. These are the type of priceless photos I love, especially in black n' white.

We think we can try now....

So last year for the girls b-day we bought them the limited editon Pontiac Solstice Princess car. We knew they were a little to small for it at the time, but it was a PONTIAC! If you know my husband if it is a Pontiac power car for "girls", it was non-negotiable. Well to make a long story short, last year they were to small so this year we thought we would try again, and it was a hit. They drove it around the basement for an hour, just doing circle after cirlce. Then our friend from AZ (Eric) now moving back to Michigan played McDonalds Drive-thru with them, and that was a 100% sell to the girls, they had a great time, and we can't wait to bring this outside and get it out of the house.

Candid moments....

I thought I would take a spot in my blog for my new hobby in life... I remember a few years ago my husband said I should get a hobby besides cleaning and organizing (which I love) and today my hobby at sometimes is a lot for him to handle. I shouldn't call it a hobby because it actually keeps me very busy. PHOTOGRAPHY... It started out as fun, snapping pics of the kids, then I started taking classes online, then people started asking me to shoot photos of their kids, senior pictures and now I am doing photo parties... I have a proffesional printing co. I belong to that I can print all my wallets with rounded edges, get canvas photos, statuettes and all that fun stuff. Here are a few of my recent candid shots. I love black n' white as you can tell. I am loving photograhy, and as my family now says... watch out here comes the paparazzi!!!! So if you are ever in need of some photos, I love doing close-ups, outdoor settings and baby shots.... Enjoy!

We are now "3"

We had a birthday party last weekend ( that is what the picture is from) and it was a sucess. Thank you to everyone who came. The kids had a great time palying, and I must say the food was great. The girls officially turned "3", and maybe it won't be so bad for mom afterall. I, mom, have been working on my patience with the girls the last 3 days, and have realized that if I slow down just a little ( yeah, me slow down!) they do a lot better for me. They love to play board games now ( thank you Lizz for the new games) so we have been playing Hi Ho Cherry O, Memory and Candy Land. They do really good. Grace last through a game better than Emma. We have been working on a nightime routine thing and that has been going good too... so maybe this turning "3" thing is about making it as good as you want it to be. Ask me in a month!
